Wall Mounted Units

These are the traditional units many of us recognise from our trips overseas on holidays. These are placed high level, preferably on an exterior wall to conceal pipework. Controlled by highly efficient inverters these can both heat and cool a room.

Perfect for home offices, garden rooms, or spaces that require quick heat up or cool down times. Known as a split system, it has two parts, the indoor unit which is placed in the room and the condenser which is situated on the outside of the building.

Low Level Units

Designed specifically to sit under windows, these work well in bedrooms or where wall space is a premium. These are identical to wall mounted units apart from the indoor unit is designed differently. Like high level wall mounted units they can be controlled by a hand held remote controller or via Wi-Fi through an app on your smart device.

They work particularly well in rooms or buildings where aesthetics are important as they are less intrusive.

Cassette Systems

A cassette air conditioner is essentially a type of split system, as it consists of two units; one inside and the other one installed outdoors. The difference with cassette air conditioners is that the indoor unit is installed in the ceiling.

The indoor unit is a mounted grille that delivers the hot or cool air through vents and doesn’t require any ductwork. The conduit connecting the indoor and outdoor units is hidden in the ceiling space.

The unobtrusive design makes them ideal not only for offices and other commercial applications but for homes and apartments where space allows. These can be controlled by a number of options, Wi-Fi, remote controllers and fixed wall panel controls. They are particular suited to larger areas due to their larger heating and cooling capacities.

Ducted Systems

Ducted air conditioning units are designed to be completely concealed. A different type of split system where the indoor unit sits in the roof/loft void or a dedicated space within the building.

Acoustic insulated ducting is taken from the void unit pumping cooled or warm air into the room through ceiling valves whilst simultaneously removing older warmer or cooler air from the room.

The ultimate in residential air conditioning as the only part of the system that is visible is the ceiling valves. The valves can be located almost anywhere allowing them to blend seamlessly with the interior décor whilst providing a perfectly balanced and gentle airflow throughout the room.
